Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ is the beloved third Khalifa of the Mehdi-e-Maoud AHS.
Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ is the son of Shaik Bade, a noble man in the court of Sultan-e-Gujarat. He belonged to the “Banyani” tribe whose lineage goes back to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq RA. Thus, Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ was Sheikh Siddiqui.
Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ was born on 874H. When he was about 29 years old, his father – Shaik Bade passed away and his high position was supposed to be assigned to Shah Niamat RA. He was an expert in martial arts and wrestling. However, due to his youth and toughness of nature, he could not handle the position. To make matters worse, once due to a disagreement he killed the son of a courtier, Abdullah Habshi. Soon after the incident, the Sultan of Gujrat, issued an arrest warrant in his name and he had to leave Ahmedabad.
On his way to escape the arrest, Shah E Niamat RZ hears the Azaan being called near a place called Sola Santhej. After performing the prayer Shah-e-Niamat RZ asked about the Azaan and they told him that there are group of Muslims camping nearby, he decided to check the camp and sat in for a Bayan e Quran. He was deeply impressed by the Bayan and decided to meet the speaker, who was Mehdi Maood AS. Mehdi Maood AS welcomed Shah E Niamat RZ as if they were old friends, even though they were meeting for the first time.
Mehdi Maoud AHS told him Allah SWT is Gafur ur Raheem (The Ever-Forgiving, The All-Forgiving) and directed Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ to ask forgiveness to those whom he had troubled.
With the guidance of Mehdi Maoud AHS, Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ firstly approached Abdullah’s house to seek forgiveness, Abdullah got frightened, but then he realized that Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ was now a changed person and after seeing his sincerity, he forgave Shah-e-Niamat RZ.
Similarly, Hazrat Bandagi Miyan Shah-e-Niamat RZ sought forgiveness with all those whom he had hurt or troubled. Then he returned to Mahdi (AHS) and accepted Tark-e-Duniya and continued to remain in his companionship.
